Acknowledging Smaller Accomplishments

Life is a long journey and along that journey we encounter both amazing and stressful experiences. We reach huge milestones and they call for big celebrations like graduation and wedding anniversaries. Sometimes, though, it is easy to forget the smaller achievements that often go unnoticed by others. I think we should start congratulating ourselves for our mini goals that we don't express outwardly whether that is simply learning how to cornow, improving your makeup skills or researching another skill you want to develop your understanding of. It may sound basic but just acknowledging the simple things helps so much with challenging yourself to stretch yourself even further.

I am incedibly forgetful. I can't even begin to tell you how bad my memory has become over the last few years so I would like to start making note of my smaller goals and achievements as I will be able to look back and see exactly what exactly I have accomplished.

I have been blogging for a couple of years now and I have never done anything to celebrate my loyalty and consistency with it. It is a big deal to me because it shows that I can be committed and faithful to whatever I put my mind to. I could have easily given up on this because my views may not have been in the thousands, I may not have been receiving the engagement that I wanted but the most important thing is that I have stuck through it. My blog is something I can hold on to and be proud of in years to come.

You really don't have to wait for people to reward for what you have done well, you may as well do it yourself. I, we, owe ourselves that much.

What achievements have you forgotten to reward yourself for?
