Stop Wishing Your Life Away

We are living in a generation that wants more and strives for more, which is excellent. However there is one thing that we are lacking which is contentment. So many of us are wasting our lives away because of wishes. Wishes to become wealthy, wishes to travel more, wishes to be famous. Hoping and wishing is not a bad thing, but when it is the only thing you do it can become a big problem. You begin looking at everything you don't have and begin to forget about all that you do have.

I am guilty of endless fantasing and dreaming about the things I would love to happen in the future. Some of it is realistic but for the most part they are often things which are very unlikely to happen. This then takes away from planning more important things and actually being productive and being appreciative of what I already have. Wishful thinking is a huge time waster. Focus on the good things that are happening in your life. Try not to be so fixated on what others are doing and live for yourself. If there are improvements you need to make in your life, work on those. For example, I know in terms of ny faith and spirituality there is so much growth and development and growth I would like to nurture and I am working on it. It is difficult as it requires alot of discipline but it is not impossible. It will take time and patience but I will eventually get to where I need to be.

Are you guilty of wishing your life away? Let me know in the comments.
