20 Things I Have Learned in 20 Years (PART 1)

My birthday was a few days ago, and I turned 20 which means that I am no longer a teenager! It is sooooo wierd to say that I am actually 20 years old now because I literally still feel 16! Nevertheless I am happy to begin this new chapter and looking forward to what adulthood has to bring.

1) It's okay to not be like everyone else. We were not created to have the same mindset as everyone else. Your differences are what makes you unique.

2) Be your own person and have a mind of your own

3) Develop your mind: similar to number 2 but make sure you have an opinion of your own and reasoning behind it because people will always try to find an excuse to make you slip up. At least if your confident in your beliefs, no-one can rattle you out.

4) Make the most of your time. Life is short, it doesn't matter how young you are, no one knows when their last day will be.

5) Trust God with every area of your life. He cares about the things we would even  consider to be mundane. PROV 3:5

6) Don't sit around and wait for others to do what you want to do.
Planning outings with friends can be long at times, if there are places you want to see, don't be afraid of doing them alone. It's good to experience things on your own sometimes.

7) Take it one step at a time.
You don't have to finish everything all at once, given yourself time to achieve goals.

8) Plan ahead & stick to those plans!

9) Always try to find the positives from a negative situation.

10) Create opportunities for your own. Don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and do something different.
